Abstract

Tourist safety is a fundamental aspect in managing tourist attractions, especially in highrisk activities. Mismatch between safety standards and implementation in the field has the potential to increase the risk of accidents. The Ministry of Tourism has created a new program for tourism recovery with Permenparekraf Number 13 of 2020 concerning CHSE Implementation Standards in the tourism sector. The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of safety dimensions based on Permenparekraf Number 13 of 2020 at the Kaliurang ATV tourist attraction. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, through participatory observation, open interviews, and field documentation. Based on findings in the field, some aspects of the Kaliurang ATV do not fully comply with the indicators listed in the instruments used, such as the first aid kit whose contents are incomplete, there are no procedures for self-rescue from emergencies and fires, lack of cooperation with related parties, no APAR and information on important numbers. Meanwhile, in the HR Readiness criteria, there is a mismatch, namely that the guide does not have a professional certificate. In the visitor participation criteria, tourists do not get information on evacuation routes.
