Abstract

This scientific article aims to analyze the influence of accessibility on the number of tourist visits to Gua Maria Mojosongo in Solo, a religious tourism destination with high spiritual value for Catholic pilgrims. Although it is located relatively close to the center of Surakarta City, access to Gua Maria Mojosongo still faces several challenges, such as sloping road conditions and limited public transportation directly to the site. This research adopts a quantitative approach using a survey method involving 100 respondents who are visitors to the destination. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using validity and reliability tests, Pearson correlation, simple linear regression, as well as determination and t-tests. The results show that accessibility has a significant influence on the number of tourist visits, with a regression coefficient of 0.68 and a correlation value of 0.78, indicating a strong relationship. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.61 implies that 61% of the variation in tourist visits can be explained by accessibility factors. Thus, improved accessibility leads to increased interest and visits to Gua Maria Mojosongo. This study recommends the development of infrastructure, enhancement of public transportation services, and improved signage to support a more comfortable visitor experience.
