Abstract

Nature tourism in Indonesia, with its beautiful beaches, mountains, and tropical forests, has become a major attraction for tourists. Yogyakarta, as a cultural city, offers a combination of natural beauty and captivating historical sites. Plunyon Kalikuning, with its lush natural scenery and the slopes of Mount Merapi, is an ideal destination for outdoor activities. However, the fluctuating number of tourist visits indicates the presence of factors influencing tourists' intention to visit. This study aims to analyze the influence of tourist attractions and Electronic Word of Mouth (e-WOM) on tourists' intention to visit, as well as provide insights for managers in planning effective promotional strategies. This research uses a descriptive type with a quantitative approach, measured using multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS 22 software. Data was collected through the distribution of questionnaires. The population of this study consists of tourists visiting Plunyon Kalikuning, with a sample size of 100 respondents. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using instrument tests, classical assumption tests, statistical tests, and hypothesis tests. The results of the study indicate that (1) the tourist attraction variable has a positive effect on tourists' intention to visit Plunyon Kalikuning, Sleman Regency, (2) the electronic word of mouth variable has a positive effect on tourists' intention to visit Plunyon Kalikuning, Sleman Regency, (3) both the tourist attraction and electronic word of mouth variables simultaneously influence tourists' intention to visit Plunyon Kalikuning, Sleman Regency.
