Abstract

This study examines the development strategy of Pelang Kenidai Tourism Village, Pagaralam City, South Sumatra, in order to create a competitive tourism destination. Using the 4A component analysis framework (Attraction, Accessibility, Amenities and Ancillary) The researcher used a descriptive Qualitative approach, data was collected through field observations, in-depth interviews with local stakeholders, and document studies. The results show that Pelang Kenidai Tourism Village has a unique attraction in the form of traditional basemah coffee processing traditions, aday house architecture estimated to be 200 years old and mountainous natural landscapes. However, promotion is still minimal; accessibility is relatively good but needs improvement in signs and transportation; homestay facilities, information centers, toilets, and digital connections are still limited; and supporting services such as certified tour guides, health posts, and security systems are not optimal. From these findings, an integrated strategy was formulated: (1) strengthening cultural branding and holding an annual coffee festival; (2) improving road infrastructure, installing directions, and shuttle services; (3) developing eco-homestays, "Kopi Corner", and information centers with public wi-fi; (4) local guide training, establishment of mini health posts, and strengthening Pokdarwis; and (5) partnerships with universities and the coffee industry for research and funding
