Abstract

Bandung City is a tourist destination area that offers various types of tourism. The Braga area is one of the destinations known as a center for entertainment, trade and gathering places because it has many cafes, restaurants, boutiques, art galleries and others. However, there are problems such as the ongoing debate about the impact of tourism development. Therefore, the objective of this study is to identify the effects of tourism development on social and cultural aspects and how to reduce the negative impacts on the community in the Braga area of Bandung City. This study applies a qualitative approach in order to present a picture of the phenomena of change that occur in the social and cultural context. This research process was carried out through purposive sampling. The data collection techniques applied include interviews, observations and documentation. Data processing in this study was carried out through data reduction steps, data presentation and drawing conclusions.
