Abstract

This study aims to analyze the conservation strategy of Rejenu tourist attractions located in the Mount Muria area, Kudus, Central Java, with a heritage tourismbased approach. Rejenu tourism has great potential in terms of natural beauty, historical value, and spirituality inherent in the existence of sites such as the Sunan Muria hermitage, sacred springs, and beautiful natural forests. However, this potential has not been fully developed optimally and sustainably. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, direct observation in the field, and documentation. The data obtained were then analyzed using two main approaches, namely SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) and heritage tourism concept analysis. The results of the study indicate that effective conservation strategies include active involvement of local communities, strengthening the cultural and historical identity of the area, and developing environmentally friendly supporting facilities. In addition, strengthening promotion through authentic historical narratives and collaboration between stakeholders is also an important key.
