Abstract

Wayang Jogja Night Carnival (WJNC) is a flagship tourism event in Yogyakarta City, featuring a street carnival (art on street) that combines art, culture, and technology with a traditional wayang (shadow puppet) theme. The event is also held to commemorate the anniversary of Yogyakarta City. This study aims to identify whether the attractiveness of the Wayang Jogja Night Carnival (WJNC) event influences public interest in becoming volunteers. The research method used is descriptive quantitative, involving surveys and observations. In this study, the author involved 80 respondents. The analysis results show that there is a positive and significant influence on public interest in becoming volunteers, with a contribution of 50.3%
