Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effect of using Instagram social media on tourists' interest in visiting Terrace Malioboro destination in Yogyakarta. According to the results of statistics analysis, it is discovered that the Instagram variable has a significant and positive impact on visit interest, which is shown through a significance value of 0.000, a t-count value of 9.551, and a coefficient of determination of 44.9%. The remaining 50.1% is affected by other factors outside the scope of this study. This study confirms that Instagram is an effective communication platform, especially in reaching young people who are active in the digital platform. The existence of attractive visual content on this platform has been proven to play an important role in attracting tourists to visit Terrace Malioboro.
