Abstract
Ratengaro Traditional Village, located in Maliti Bondo Ate Village, Southwest Sumba, is a cultural tourism destination rich in cultural and historical heritage. Known for its unique traditional houses, traditional rituals, and local crafts, the village has great potential for sustainable tourism development. Despite the increasing number of visitors, major challenges such as accessibility and transportation infrastructure still need to be addressed. This study used a qualitative descriptive method to analyze tourism potential and development strategies. The results show that active participation of local communities and support from the government are essential to maintain traditions and increase promotion. With wise management and improved facilities, Ratengaro Traditional Village has the potential to become a successful example of sustainable tourism development.
