Abstract

This research is motivated by the gap (GAP) between the great potential of ecotourism in Sanggu Tourism Village, Central Kalimantan, with its management that has not been optimal in supporting sustainable development. The focus of this research is to analyze sustainable ecotourism management strategies in Sanggu Tourism Village through an approach based on local potential and challenges. This research aims to analyze management strategies in ecotourism-based sustainable development in Sanggu Tourism Village, Central Kalimantan. The method used is a qualitative approach with observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results showed that the management strategies that have been carried out include the development of tourist infrastructure, the involvement of local communities in tourism activities, and efforts to preserve the environment. However, there are still obstacles such as limited funds, not optimal promotion, and low human resource capacity. Therefore, a management strategy based on collaboration between the government, the community, and the private sector is needed to improve the sustainability of ecotourism in Sanggu Village.
