Abstract

The 3A components (attractions, accessibility, and amenity) are important components that must be fulfilled in order for a tourist attraction to become an ideal tourist destination to visit. Tourism destinations that make chocolate as the main attraction include Monggo Chocolate Museum and Tugu Chocolate Factory. Seeing the importance of the 3A components, this research aims to compare the 3A components (attractions, accessibility, and amenity) in the two destinations. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with comparative study analysis technique. Data was collected by conducting interviews, observations, and documentation. The results show that both have similarities or differences that are not too significant. In terms of attractions, Monggo Chocolate Museum provides historical education and more in-depth chocolate making although Tugu Chocolate Factory also offers the same attractions but only provides brief related information. In terms of accessibility, Tugu Chocolate Factory is located close to the city center and can be accessed by public bus transportation, while Monggo Chocolate Museum is located quite far from the city center and cannot be accessed by city bus. In terms of amenity, both have the same facilities such as toilets, places of worship, places to eat, places to shop, and do not have lactation rooms. The difference is in the disabled accessibility provided by Monggo Chocolate Museum, while Tugu Chocolate Factory is not yet available. The researcher suggested to organize lactation rooms in both places. To Museum Chocolate Monggo, the researcher suggests adding a menu to the cafe. To Tugu Chocolate Factory, it is recommended to provide accessibility for people with disabilities. Future researchers are expected to add research variables.
