Abstract

Museum Angkut in Batu City, East Java, has great potential as an educational and recreational tourist destination that can attract tourists from various backgrounds. However, optimizing the attractiveness of the educational and recreational aspects is still a challenge that must be faced so that this museum can compete and make a significant contribution to regional tourism development. Through qualitative methods, a development strategy was formulated based on the results of observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies of facilities, educational programs, and recreational vehicle innovations that have been implemented at Museum Angkut. The results show that strengthening educational facilities such as driving simulations, utilization of interactive technology, and collaboration with educational institutions are effective in improving the learning experience and visitor interest. In addition, the innovation of recreational rides that are family-friendly and support interactive learning has successfully expanded the market segment and extended the duration of tourist visits. The integration of strategies on educational and recreational aspects provides added value for Museum Angkut, strengthens its image as a leading tourist destination, and supports sustainable tourism development in Batu City. It is recommended that managers continue to improve the quality of facilities, develop collaborative programs, and make optimal use of digital technology to strengthen the attractiveness of the museum in the future.
