Abstract

Borobudur Temple offers an extraordinary tourism experience, including for student groups through the Thematic Guiding technique. The objectives of this research are to identify the form of Thematic Guiding implemented at Borobudur Temple specifically for student groups and to determine the role of Thematic Guiding at Borobudur Temple in enhancing the tourism experience, particularly for student groups. The research methodology employed is qualitative with a descriptive qualitative approach and coding techniques. The research findings address the research objectives, namely that the form of Thematic Guiding for student groups involves informative, educational, and interactive communication. The role of Thematic Guiding in student experience is to provide experiential learning to student groups from SMP Madaniah Bogor, which served as the sample respondents. The research concludes that Thematic Guiding can help enhance students' understanding related to insights and knowledge regarding the history and profile of Borobudur Temple in depth. Research recommendations include diversifying the Thematic Guiding model, strengthening experiential learning, and encouraging subsequent researchers to examine Thematic Guiding at Borobudur Temple from new perspectives.
