Abstract

Telaga Bedakah is a natural tourist destination located in Wonosobo Regency, Central Java. Situated at the foot of Mount Sindoro, the area offers a cool atmosphere, clean air, and pristine natural scenery, making it an attractive destination for travelers seeking nature-based tourism and tranquility. The aim of this study is to explore how promotional strategies on TikTok can be optimized to increase tourist visits to Telaga Bedakah, as well as to identify the destination’s key strengths that can be highlighted in promotional content on TikTok. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research is supported by a SOAR analysis (Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, Results). The findings indicate that TikTok is an effective platform for promoting Telaga Bedakah, as it enables the wide dissemination of visually engaging content through short videos showcasing the area’s natural beauty such as morning fog, peaceful atmosphere, and mountainous landscapes. Promotional strategies include creating cinematic videos, collaborating with influencers, using relevant hashtags, and maintaining a consistent posting schedule. Moreover, Telaga Bedakah’s strengths such as its serene and less crowded environment compared to other destinations in Wonosobo make it well-suited for popular digital content formats. Therefore, optimizing promotion through TikTok represents a strategic step in developing Telaga Bedakah as a sustainable and appealing natural tourism destination for today’s digital-savvy travelers.
