Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of push factors and pull factors as a motivation for domestic tourists to decide to visit the Prai Ijing Traditional Village. The data analysis used is binary logistic regression analysis because the dependent variable is dichotomous, namely visiting decisions. This study used purposive sampling technique with 391 respondents and the form of data collection using surveys and questionnaires. The results showed that push factors had a negative and significant effect on visiting decisions with a significance value of <0.000 and a coefficient B of -0.482. Negatively affected because of the mismatch between tourist expectations and the reality of Prai Ijing Traditional Village tourism and the indicators studied are not in line with tourism characteristics which emphasize uniqueness and cultural education and the indicators studied are only three of the ten indicators based on the theoretical study. Meanwhile, pull factors whose indicators are natural beauty, cultural attractions and facilities have a positive and significant effect on visiting decisions with a coefficient value of 0.475. Push factors and pull factors simultaneously have a significant effect on the decision to visit domestic tourists in the Prai Ijing Traditional Village.
