Abstract

The Pangeran Diponegoro Monument Museum, located in Tegalrejo Village, Yogyakarta Special Region, is one of the important historical sites. The establishment of this museum was intended as a form of appreciation for Prince Diponegoro's struggle against Dutch colonialism in the 19th century. The museum contains various historical collections of Prince Diponegoro and his troops. The purpose of this study is to explore the promotional strategies implemented by the Prince Diponegoro Monument Museum through TikTok and Instagram social media in order to increase the number of tourist visits. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The research findings show that the utilization of social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram as a means of promotion is still at an early stage and has not been maximized. There are several obstacles faced by the manager, including limited human resources in the implementation of digital promotions and promotional strategies that have not been well planned, including the lack of two-way communication with the audience. In today's digital era, social media has great potential in encouraging increased visits and tourist involvement in various activities in the museum.
