Abstract

Tourism activities will definitely develop rapidly in the Kedah Resort area and certainly not easily managed. This is related to how to create a balance between tourism activities and environmental sustainability because it is feared that the increase in the number and activity of visitors actually causes environmental damage due to mass tourism which is not well applied to conservation areas. For now the concept of ecotourism is still limited to the determination of utilization zones. The role of the manager and the local community has been running but has not fully embodied the concept of ecotourism and there are still obstacles in the management of the Kedah Resort. Therefore, in the future to support the management of appropriate tourism objects in order to reduce the negative impacts that occur mainly on environmental biophysical conditions, in relation to ecotourism development that can be accepted by the tourist biophysical environment and management capacity.
