Abstract

The development of tourism has been so rapid and has a very important role in various aspects of people's lives, especially economic, social, cultural and environmental aspects. The development of this tour is an interesting thing. The research with title "Pengembangan Sendang Maren Sebagai Daya Tarik Wisata Kota Magelang Jawa Tengah", has the formulation of the problem of how to develop the Sendang Maren tourism strategy, the role of the surrounding community and how promotions are carried out for tourism objects. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data sources used are primary and secondary data. In this study, identification of internal factors and external factors that influence the development of Sendang Maren tourism object.. Based on data analysis that using the SWOT matrix, it was concluded that the development of Sendang Maren was in the form of improving the quality of Human Resources, improving poor facilities and developing a promo strategy
