Abstract

Museum Pendidikan Indonesia is the first educational museum in Indonesia, therefore it is necessary to manage and develop so that Museum Pendidikan Indonesia can be a preferred educational tourism in the province of D.I. Yogyakarta. This research aims to know (1) the management of Museum Pendidikan Indonesia, (2) the development strategy of Museum Pendidikan Indonesia, (3) The image development strategy of Museum Pendidikan Indonesia as an educational tour. The research method used is qualitative. Data collection techniques conducted through interviews, observations, documentation and triangulation. Data processing techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, withdrawal of conclusions and verification. Analysts used are SWOT analysis. Based on the results of the study shows that: (1) The management of Museum Pendidikan Indonesia has been very good, seen from the tourism supporting components in Museum Pendidikan Indonesia such as accessibility, tourism attraction, facilities, organization, human resources, promotion, technology and cooperation, (2) in the effort to increase tourist visit in Museum Pendidikan Indonesia, the management of Museum Pendidikan Indonesia has a strategy to add human resources that are still lacking in the Museum Pendidikan Indonesia, (3) In an effort to create the image of Museum Pendidikan Indonesia as an educational tourism object, the management of Museum Pendidikan In
