Abstract

Liwet rice is a typical culinary archipelago originating from the city of Solo. Liwet rice is famous for its fluffy texture and savory taste. Currently Liwet Rice can be enjoyed by Solo people of various ages or tourists, and can be found in various places in Solo. The purpose of this study was to find out how to preserve traditional rice liwet food as an attraction in the city of Solo, Central Java. The research method used is a qualitative research method where data collection is generated by means of interviews, observation and documentation. Efforts to preserve traditional food are ways to prevent the loss of food from the community. Traditional food preservation efforts actually do not have to display the original form of the product. With the present modernization, people will look at the traditional food. In this study, researchers innovated on traditional foods Nasi Liwet. This innovation is intended as an effort to preserve traditional food.
