Abstract

Jlamprong tourism site is one the of the tourist objects that has good tourism potential and is very suitable to be developed into one of the new tourist destinations in Gunungkidul Regency, Yogyakarta, by carrying out the concept of caving activities of three horizontal caves and Embung in one tourist location. This research use qualitative method. The collection techniques of data used are interview, questioner, documentation, and observation. The data processing techniques of data used are data reduction, data presentation, verification, and triangulation. Analysis is a SWOT analysis. The development of Jlamprong tourism site carried out by the management already exists but has not been optimal, this is due to constrained funds and inadequate facilities dan constrained land acquisition. The local community plays an active role in development such as: participating in management and becoming a tour guide, and participating in “Gortong royong” activities
