Abstract

Umbul Tiban is a natural development attraction located in Gempol village, Karanganom Subdictrict, Klaten Regency. The potential possessed by Umbul Tiban is a high content mineral, so it is highly safe for consumption or had a over quality famous bottled water such as Aqua or Vit. This research use qualitative research method and SWOT analysis with goal to goverment and manager for have a general idea that Umbul Tiban area can be developed based on tourism rules. Discussion to solve are : the tourist area in Umbul Tiban has good potential, but in progress there are obstacles in the facility, both those are already exist and who still under development. Goverment, manager, and local people have a stake in the development of Umbul Tiban, like make a regulation, participate in routine mutual corporation activities, and take care of cleanliness and security in tourism area. However, there are some lack of facilites, such as public toilets, changing places, gazebo, fish therapy pools, place to worship, and entertaining stage.
