Abstract

Jamu is an original indonesian herbal concoction that has existed since that time of our ancastor an has been passed down from generation to geration. The development of the herbal medicine industry proves that herbal medicine has become part of indonesian development and tradition that deserve to be preseved. Meanwhile, bantu distrect itself is famous for its tourist and cultural attractions. Recently, one of the hamlets in bantul regency has been named at tourist village for the center of herbal medicine carrying in 2016, namely kiringan hamlet in camden village, jetis. The number of producers and fendors of the herbal medicine that has existed for generations has wade dusun kiringan famouse as a village center for traditional herbal medicine has great potential because in saman now it is possible to promote the internet so that herbal medicine is better known by the outside community. With the existence of the traditional herbal medicine museum complex in kiringan hamlet, it aims to provide educational and recreational tourism facilities with exhibition arrangements, circulation and arrangement of facilities that are comfortable, attractive, and have local localtly values wich are expected to be a tourist attraction in increasing people’s love for herbal medicine, as indonesian cultural heritage. The facilities in this complex consist of a pavilon where the herbal medicine is made itself, a green house for the cultivation of herbal plant, and a herbal medicine shop by the original herbal medicine craftsment of the kiringan hamlet. The approach used to crate a museum with a actractive spatial layout is to use the new museum concept, space organization, museum exhibitions, and the principles of presentation of the collection. Meanwhile, to complete the comfort and circulation using a building quality approach and museum circulation. With the existence of the traditional herbal medicine museum comlex kiringan hamblet as a tourist village for carrying herbal medicine center is also increasingly recognized and developed both economically, socially and culturally. The design of the traditional herbal medicine museum aims to provide a broad reference for the public, herbalists and tourist regarding herbal medicine and its development in indonesia through facilities and supporting facilities that are designed in such a way, are comfortable, attractive and have elements of locality in them so that visitors are interested in herbal medicine, and its development as indonesian cultural heritage.
