Abstract

Although Jakat Beach is a developed coastal area and has several marine tourist attractions, the current covid-19 pandemic has reduced tourist visits to Jakat Beach. This phenomenon is because the COVID-19 pandemic, which is felt not only in the coast of Jakat but also in almost all tourist destinations around the world, has become a global problem. The type of research the authors conduct is to use a qualitative method. A qualitative research method is a research method that uses the researcher as a key tool, and the condition of the research subject is natural. Data collection methods are performed with triangulation (combination), inductive data analysis, and research conclusions, with an emphasis on meaning over generalization. Jakat Beach has significant tourism potential, especially in the area and has human resources to channel and channel to develop the Jakat Beach area. . The lack of trained human resources in this field is partly due to the lack of government direction and guidance due to the lack of relationship between the two parties. Strategies you can take to increase tourist visits after the COVID-19 pandemic are to apply maximum health practices and work with governments or host private events. Publicity is also needed to increase the number of tourists. This promotion encourages the use of social media to ensure that the reach of tourist visits is consistent with a predetermined target market.
