Abstract
East Seram Regency is one of the districts in Maluku province. Where beauty, uniqueness, natural resources, religious and cultural diversity are the main attraction in East Seram Regency. One of them is Gumumae Beach which has the potential in the form of beautiful natural scenery, there are mangrove forests that fill most of the coast and there are approximately a couple of thousand pine trees that grow along the coastline. Judging from these things, it is very unfortunate if the community is not involved in the management and development of Gumumae Beach tourist attraction. This research aims to determine management strategies during the Covid-19 pandemic, community participation in supporting the development of tourist objects, and strategies to reduce the negative impacts that occur. The research method used is a qualitative and descriptive approach. The results of this research indicate that community participation around the Gumumae beach tourism object needs to be addressed to create a society that loves and has a high sense of belonging to the tourism potential that is around it. The beauty, uniqueness and natural resources of Bula City, East Seram Regency, Maluku is one of the potentials that must be built and developed by the Maluku government, especially for the East Seram Regency government. So that it is able to open the eyes of the world and become one of the factors in increasing the welfare of the people around the tourist object.
