Abstract

Improving the quality of human resources in a tourist attraction can be trough community based tourism development. This community based tourism makes the community the main actor in managing tourist attractions. One of the tourism attraction that applies community based tourism is Aua Sarumpun in Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatera Province. In facing the dynamc changes that have occurred in Covid-19 pandemic, the new strategies are needed to continue the development of tourist attraction. This strategy can be obtained through a research process by examining the related components of a tourist attraction. That is a component contained in internal and external factors of a tourist attraction. The assessment of these components uses a SWOT analysis that can find new development strategies as a form of problem solving.
