Abstract

Pontianak is an equatorial city that serves as a trade and service route. Pontianak City is home to Indonesia's longest river, the Kapuas River, which serves as a conduit for the community's activities. Waterfront city can be found on both sides of the Kapuas River. Waterfront city Pontianak located between Senghie Harbor, is a popular tourist destination. Because of the multiplier effect, the existence of this tourist destination can revitalize the economic growth of the surrounding community. The goal of this research is to help the tourism industry in Pontianak City grow. The author can determine whether the management of a tourist destination in Waterfront City is appropriate by analyzing its management. The management agency, visiting tourists, tourists who have visited, and the surrounding community are all included in the scope of this research. The author employs qualitative data processing methods such as data reduction, data presentation, verification, and triangulation. The author employs a SWOT analysis during the analysis stage. The study's findings indicate that there are still imperfections in the current management. Human Resources are insufficiently trained, and the technology in use is ineffective. It has been well implemented in terms of other factors.
