Abstract

Bromonilan Rural Tourism or DEWA BROMO is one of the local community based rural tourism in Sleman Regency which was established based on the Pokdarwis Decree dated January 7, 2019. The rural tourism, located on the banks of Kali Kuning river, offers a concept of Rural Tourism destination. This study aims to determine how the management strategy and development of Bromonilan Rural Tourism can be an alternative destination for tourists in Sleman Regency. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative and descriptive narrative by collecting data through observation, in-depth interviews with the management and documentation study. The results showed that there has not been significant management and development since the rural tourism was established in January 2019 to March 2020 due to the fact that the three indicators of management are not yet maximal, namely the quality of professional management, qualified human resources and tourist spots that have not yet been completed as tourist attractions to invite tourists to visit Bromonilan Rural Tourism.
