Abstract

His research was conducted to determine the conservation efforts and the attractiveness and potential of the Sumberawan site in terms of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Community participation to participate in preserving the Sumberawan site. In this research using data collection techniques in the form of: observation, interviews and document study then the data collected is analyzed qualitatively and the results are presented in writing which is descriptive in nature. From the results of the research, it can be seen that the manager conducts sightseeing by caring for and cleaning the site every day to avoid the growth of moss which is very influential in the process of stupa damage, guarding from irresponsible tourists from vandalism. Sumberawan sites have a very strong cultural significance, sites as places of ritual and worship, are useful as sources of life for the Toyomarto community because almost all residents use water from the Sumberawan lake. Community participation is still lacking, it can be seen that, maintaining the cleanliness of the site area is still lacking, this can threaten the existence of the site, but every month the community holds a Banyu slametan, this is done to be grateful for the existence of water sources that are used by the surrounding community.
