Abstract

Research on "Preservation of Angklung Music Art as a Cultural Characteristic In Bandung City West Java Province, Case Study: Saung Angklung Udjo Bandung". This research generally aims to understand the effort angklung preservation conducted by Saung Angklung Udjo. This research is a combination of qualitative research with techniques of data collection through direct observation in the tourist attraction, perform interviews, questionnaires, and document checking. The results of this study indicate that, the form of preservation conducted by the community around Saung Angklung Udjo is participating in the manufacture of Angklung musical instruments. Then the form of conservation is done by the government is the permission of bamboo activities evening angklung music performances in the performance hall held every 15.30 - 17.00.
