Abstract

Pencak Macan is a tradition to marry brides who are ancestral heritage and hundreds of years old. It was first introduced and preserved by Mbah Sindujoyo. In this research there are 4 things that become research factor. Among them are the conditions of Pencak Macan art, Community effort, Actors, and Government in developing Pencak Macan art. In this research the researcher use kualitative method data and information are taken directly, interview, kuesioner, observation, dokumentation, and triangulation. The result of the research is the art of Pencak Macan able to survive until now, because in the process of development, both Community, Actors and Government very active role. Involving the art of Pencak Macan in various events such as weddings, district events, as well as youth who continue to socialize the truth of the philosophy of the Pencak Macan.
