Abstract

Rammang-Rammang is the name ofa karst region located in Maros andPangkep Regencies in South SulawesiProvince. The Rammang-Rammang sitecovers 45,000 hectares (450 km2),making it the second largest in theworld, Afer Shilin in China. It's writtenon the UNESCO World Heritage List.This research aims to find out thestrategy of development of Rammangrammang tourism object and the role ofgovernment and society in developingtourist object of Rammang-rammang This research method is qualitative.Data collection by way of work,structured interview, documentationand triangulation and its analysis withSWOT analysis The results of this study, theManager has several strategies todevelop Rammang-rammang one ofthem is not to make sporadic changes inthe location of the object so as not tochange keasrian and naturalness anddo not disturb the existing habitat. thegovernment played a role in promotingRamanng-rammang,and the communityplayed a role in the management of theRammang-rammang.
