Abstract

The development of tourism in Malang Regency on the south side, especially Balekambang Beach, has not been optimal because of the many unresolved obstacles. This study aims to identify the characteristics of Balekambang Beach, find out the potential and problems and develop a development strategy in the tourist area of Balekambang Beach, Malang Regency, East Java This research method uses qualitative and semi-structured descriptive interviews with random sampling techniques, triangulatian data processing and documentation using SWOT analysis. Based on the results of the SWOT analysis used in this study, it can be seen how Balekambang Beach displays its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
