Abstract

The research entitled "Development of Green Canyon Tourism Objects suitable for times Gethuk Socokangsi as a tourist attraction patented by Central Java Klaten", aims to enlarge the potential of the Green Gethuk canyon Kali Socokangsi by using the role of Government and Society, and try what will be used to develop the Green canyon of Gethuk Socokangsi. The method used in this study is qualitative. The data used are primary and secondary data. While the technique of data collection is done by observation, interviews, documentation. Data analysis was carried out through SWOT analysis techniques. Based on data from research conducted by the authors, it can be concluded that the Green Canyon times for Socokangsi is a tourist attraction that has a lot of tourism potential to be developed. Government participation is approval, support and licensing. Then the role of the community is very supportive, and helps all activities in the area. The development strategy carried out by Green Canyon times Gethuk Socokangsi is to further optimize the potential by improving road access, building toilet facilities, etc., through social media, creating new ones, working with travel agencies and also assisting the government of the Green Canyon area gethuk socokangsi .
