Abstract

Teletubies Hill is a tourist attraction located in Doyo Lama village, Waibu district, Jayapura, Papua and requires about 10 minutes from Sentani Airport. this object offers natural beauty in the form of a stretch of hills and valleys, a beautiful expanse of hay grass and the beauty of Sentani lake. This research uses qualitative methods with descriptive techniques. This method describes the components of tourism, the potential or attraction possessed and how the role of the community and government in developing Teletubies hill attractions in Jayapura Papua. The results of this study indicate that (1) There are some participation from the local community in an effort to help develop Teletubies hill tourism objects by exploiting their potential by maintaining the security and cleanliness of the Bukit Teletubies tourist area, and maximizing simple facilities to be enjoyed by tourists visiting the Teletubies Hill. (2) The role of the government in supporting the development of Teletubies Hill attractions can be seen from the allocation of aid funds given to local communities to help maximize the supporting facilities and infrastructures in the form of the Teletubies Hill tour in Doyo Lama Village. This assistance is given so that later the Teletubies Hill attractions can attract the attention of local and foreign tourists.
