Abstract
The study of Scientific Articles is about discussing how to develop a traditional Yangko culinary which is a typical culinary Yogyakarta. Yangko is one of the famous culinary in Yogyakarta, and the Yangko producing area is located in one of the areas in Yogyakarta, namely Kota Gedhe. Yangko is a food made from sticky rice, sugar, and fruit flavoring. The problem discussed in this research is how to develop yangko as a typical Yogyakarta culinary so that the city's unique culinary does not disappear, this study aims to develop Yangko to become a food that can compete with modern foods in the current era with new and unique innovations. The results of the study show that: One of Vista's souvenir shops in Yogyakarta still needs to be improved in terms of promotion, especially in the typical culinary promotion of Yangko. Because there are still many people in Yogyakarta and tourists who do not know about the existence of traditional culinary because of the entry of modern foods today. For this reason, it can be concluded that the strategy to develop yangko as a typical culinary in Yogyakarta has the potential to add to the attractiveness in the city of Yogyakarta, especially in the culinary industry.
