Abstract

Telok gembira Beach is a tourist attraction located in the padang kandis Village, sub drstrict bals Belitung province,this beach is one the favorit tourist attractions in Belitung regency because it has a very beautiful appeal and white sand and granite. This research uses qualitative method with descriptive technique. This method describes the components of tourism, the potential of tourist attraction, how the development strategy of Telok gembira Beach tourist attraction,and how the role of gevernment and society in this case. The result of this study indicate that development strategy that has been done with the aim of development are (1) Telok gembira Beachhas been incorporated into 10 priority destinations that must be developed in Belitung, (2) Organizing events to promote tourist attraction involving the role of the community in its activities
