Abstract

Tourism is one of the mainstay sectors in improving people's welfare. At present tourism development is very fast. For that tourism must be managed wisely. Wealth and culture are important components in tourism in Indonesia. Indonesia has a combination of tropical climate. Indonesia is the largest archipelagic country and the largest population in the world. Komodo National Park is an example of a natural tourist destination in Indonesia. Komodo National Park is located in West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara. Komodo National Park consists of many Island, including Kelor Island. Kelor Island is an island that has extraordinary natural beauty. Its beauty is seen from the beach that has white sand and the beauty of its coral reefs. Kelor Island is located in Labun Bajo, West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara The author conducted research on Kelor Island Tourism Object using Qualitative research methods. The author uses qualitative methods as observation or observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The development of Kelor Island is inseparable from the support and role of the Government and the Community. But the problem of Human Resources makes the Kelor Island Tourism Object experiencing obstacles to compete with other tourist objects that have developed. The author made several strategies in the development of Kelor Island Tourism Object to become a tourist destination that attracted many tourists. One strategy is to improve Human Resources by means of the Government focusing more on what has been planned so that Kelor Island becomes a destination that is also visited by many tourists.
