Abstract
Tourism in Maybrat Regency is an area that has great potential to be developed into marine tourism, and has the opportunity to be developed more modernly. The area has various tourist attractions, both nature tourism, historical tourism and cultural tourism. Therefore, a strategy is needed to develop Lake Framu so that it can develop and increase the interest of tourists to visit. In this study the authors used qualitative research methods. Data collection is conducted with interviews, observations, and documentation. Data processing techniques are performed with data reduction. Presentation of data, done for withdrawal of conclusions and verification. From the results of anaisis can be known that the potentials in Lake Framu namely lakes that have relatively flat surfaces, clear lake water, suitable for diving lovers and From the results of research is also known factors supporting the development strategy of Lake Framu is ease of transportation, guaranteed safety, and development of various government projects. Meanwhile, the inhibitory factor of Lake Framu's development strategy is conflicting resources and objectives.
