Abstract

Klaten is one of the regencies located in the province of Central Java. Klaten has a variety of interesting tourism potentials and has the potential to be developed, one of which is the Batik Jarum Tourism Village. Batik Jarum Tourism Village is a cultural-based educational tour that can provide a memorable experience for visiting tourists. The purpose of this research is to find out how the development of tourism potential in the Batik Jarum Tourism Village during the Covid-19 period. The data collection method used in this study is a qualitative method obtained from literature studies, interviews, and direct observation. The data obtained will be processed using data reduction techniques and data triangulation. Then all the data can be concluded using a SWOT analysis. From all the data, conclusions have been drawn, it can be seen that the Batik Jarum Tourism Village is well developed. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a major impact on the development of the tourism sector. Tourism in Klaten Regency was affected by the impact, the Batik Jarum Tourism Village had experienced a drastic decline in tourists caused by the Covid-19 Pandemic.
