Abstract

Seren Taun is a traditional ceremony that is routinely carried out every year in Kasepuhan Cipta Mulya, Sirnaresmi village, Cisolok district, Sukabumi Regency. Seren Taun is very interesting to study and explore further, considering that traditional culture is a cultural heritage that is currently increasingly marginalized and forgotten. This ceremony is carried out as a form of gratitude for the residents of Kasepuhan Cipta Mulya for the harvest that has been obtained. This qualitative research method is often called the naturalistic research method because the research is carried out under natural scientific conditions and is used to examine natural object conditions. The results of the research show that: (1) Kasepuhan Cipta Mulya is part of the Kesepuhan Adat Banten Kidul (KABK) which tries to preserve the Seren Taun ceremony amid the Covid�19 pandemic. (2) Kasepuhan Cipta Mulya is managed by local residents, does not yet have a structured organization for the field of tourism development. (3) A major government role is needed to develop tourism in Kasepuhan Cipta Mulya.
