Abstract
Yogyakarta Special Region as one of the region of Indonesia which is famous for its cultural tourism attractiveness. Classical Dance of the Yogyakarta Style is an authentic attraction for the Special Region of Yogyakarta. This has made many dance artists depend on the Classical Dance of the Yogyakarta Style. Since the Covid-19 pandemic hit Indonesia, tourism in Indonesia has also been affected, this has also affected tourism actors, including dance artists / dancers of the Classical Dance of the Yogyakarta Style. This research tries to describe the livelihood conditions of the dancers of the Classical Dance of the Yogyakarta Style in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic related to the impact on their Assets, Access and Activities and to identify the livelihood strategies of the dancers of the Yogyakarta Style Classical Dance in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. The mixed method of quantitative and qualitative sequential explanatory models is used to answer the objectives. Population of 50 respondents who work as classical dancers of the Yogyakarta style. Descriptive statistical research analysis to discuss the livelihood conditions related to assets and descriptive analysis to discuss livelihood strategies. The impact of the Covid�19 pandemic led to a livelihood strategy for classical dancers of the Yogyakarta style which was identified into 4 categories of livelihood strategies, namely Survival Strategy, Intensification Consolidation, Diversification Consolidation, and Accumulation Diversification.
