Abstract

Tourism in the Temanggung district has great potential to be developed into special interest tours, educational tours, ecotourism and opportunities to be developed more modernly. This area has a variety of tourist objects, both natural tourism, historical tourism, and cultural tourism. Therefore, the authors use qualitative methods. Data collection is done by interview, observation, and documentation. Data processing techniques are used for drawing conclusions and verification. From the analysis, it can be seen that the potentials that exist in the cultural heritage of the Gondosuli inscription, namely the location of this cultural heritage which is located in the middle of the settlement of the village of Gondosuli, keeps the history of the ancient Mataram kingdom, there is a temple that is still messy or has not been arranged into a temple form. This cultural heritage is suitable for lovers of history and ancient civilizations and from the results of the research it is also known that the factors supporting the development strategy of the Gondosuli inscription cultural heritage site are the ease of transportation, guaranteed security, and the development of various government projects. While the factors inhibiting the development strategy of the Gondosuli inscription cultural heritage site are promotion, resources and organized management.
