Abstract

Tourism is currently one of Indonesia's foreign exchange earning sectors, the development of the tourism industry is also very fast. MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention, and Exhibition) as one part of Tourism Activity whose management and operation requires maximum quality of team work through stages starting from preparation to the time of implementation in an event. In this study, the authors developed the MICE theme with the title "Leadership as Motivator for Driving in National Seminar Events". Leadership which in this case is the event coordinator is one of the most important parts in the committee of a seminar because in an organization certainly requires a leader to be able to motivate other members. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach with SWOT analysis techniques (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threat). From the results of these studies produce conclusions and suggestions that are expected to provide an explanation of leadership as a motivating driver in the implementation of MICE in general and seminar events in particular.
