Abstract

Mitoni is a series of life cycle ceremony that until now still be done by some people of Java. This mitoni ceremony is a custom or a ceremony performed on the 7th month of the first pregnancy of a woman How to find answers from that problems,researchers do with qualitative methods and by way of collecting data in the form of observation, questionnaires, interview and documentation. Then for data processing researchers do with data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. From the result of research with the above methods it is known that preserving the culture of Mitoni is by way of planting the value of culture preservation that must be conveyed to the younger generation through additional lessons, especially local cultural potential and the village government work with the the community in bringing tourist visit for packaging more attractive for tourist in developing a good promotion system to increase the number of visitors.
