Abstract

Culture is an aspect that needs to be developed in the progress of tourism, one of the cultures worthy of lesterikan in the development of tourism is the brass handicraft located in Kotagede Yogyakarta. The community is very regret about the craft of kunigan which is now almost extinct, considering the brass handicraft is one of the heritage of cultural heritage down and current brass craft is able to compete with silverware. In order to maintain brass handicrafts, a marketing strategy conducted by brass handicraft center owners, is the owner of the product promotes from Brass Crafts through internet media and market to souvenir shops around the area of Yogyakarta. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research method and using SWOT analysis and this research technique only explains or describes the variable without looking for linkage between variables
