Abstract

Lengger dance is Banyumas popular dance, and danced by men who dress up women, lengger dance was danced as a ritual dance to welcome the harvest and thanksgiving. The type of research is qualitative. Methods used in this study are questionnaires, interviews, observation, and documentation. The analytical technique used in this research is SWOT analysis based on the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Local government take part in the preservation of Lengger Lanang dance with in the show to small events until large. In terms human resources most people do not know the original history of Lengger Lanang dance and so far the making art community in Banyumas very role for preservation of Lengger Lanang dance.
