Abstract
Kampung Adat Rende is located in Umalulu District, East Sumba Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province (NTT) is officially used as a place of ritual for the people of East Sumba, as a place of offering and storage of the corpse before it is buried. The role of the government in the development of Kampung Adat Rende is very good, because the local government promotes Kampung Adat Rende through print media and social media, with the role of government and the role of society, is expected to increase tourist visits in East Sumba and Kampung Adat Rende. The research method used by the writer this time using the qualitative research type descriptive. Qualitative research method is the research method used to examine the condition of natural attractions, (as opposed to the experiment) where the researcher is the key, data collection techniques are done in triangulation ), data analysis is inductive, and qualitative research results emphasize more meaning and generalization The government supports by providing funds for the construction of facilities in the Kampung Adat Rende area to increase production, improve service quality, and intensify promotion, as well as the communities that assist in developing Kampung Adat Rende.
