Abstract
Forest is one of the place that has tourism potential which can be developed.More than 30% of the mainland in JambiProvince is Forest, Jambi City is thecapital of Jambi Province where the population is domiciled in Jambi City. Taman Hutan Kenali is a touristdestination in Jambi, the role ofgovernment in the development of TamanHutan Kenali is administrator appointedby governor regulation. The communityhas not been involved in the administratoror development of Taman Hutan Kenaliuntil now. Strategies that can be used todevelop by establishing coordinationforums between administrators, providetraining on development and masterplan DED development limits in the frameworkof development to improve produccompetitiveness in attracting tourist visits The methodology used by the authors is qualitative descriptive and data analysis technique used is SWOTanalysis. Hopefully this research can help the government in developing Taman Hutan Kenali.
