Abstract
Art culture gejog mortar is one of folk art that use ALU, dundung and morta r as a means the music. once mortar is agr icultural equipment for mashing Rice but now already a art in play by parents espec ially mother mother. beginning there art g ejog mortar this is because the habit of far mers play mortar when lunar Eclipse. ther e is also the myth of the art gejog mortar t his time the full moon. In the preservation of art gejog m ortar this of course, the role of the commu nity and the government is very important. result of observation that the role of the pe ople in preserving cultural Arts this is ver y good. society participate in the art perpe trators of art. although only certain circle s are involved an active role in the art of c ulture and the average only parents who p articipated in it. similarly to the role of the government of the Department of culture a nd tourism participate Act also in the pres ervation of art cultural Gejo Lesung.
